Oh, blue and cheddar - what a great combination, and a great little quilt top. I like all three choices that you show. Usually, one just pops out and says, yep, that's it. In this case, though, they all work. It just depends on what you want to see the most of. If I had to pick, I think it would be the cheddar, but I look forward to seeing what you choose!

All three give it such a different look. The shirting fabric makes it pop out. My favorite choice is the blue. Taking pictures is a great idea. Maybe I need to invest in a digital camera. I still rely on my old standby camera from years ago, so I have to pay for developing the film.

I like the Indigo the best. I don't think that the shirting does a thing for it, so I wouldn't use that one for sure. The cheddar looks nice, too, but I don't think as nice as the Indigo...

Oh, and I agree about the camera, it's a necessary quilting tool!

Ann, I love your version of this little quilt! I am working on a little quilt right now, all scrappy, but am definitely going to keep making these little quilts, so much fun, and almost instant gratification. I'm bookmarking this one....thought I had subscribed to the APQ newsletter, must not have. I like all your ideas, and I like both borders but am so passionate about blues, I think that's my favorite...and I don't mind the blue setting squares next to the border. I love your fabric choices and the crisp white shirting print against the darker fabrics. Whichever way you finish, it'll be beautiful, pls be sure to post your finished quilt :-)

I love the blue because it seems to set the whole centre free. The blue corner stones let the centre flow into the border.

I did a quilt with corner stones that matched the outer border without realising that you're 'not supposed to do that'. I kind of like it though.

Ann, I'm sure whatever you decide will be wonderful. I don't care for any of the borders as they don't seem to enhance the quilt at all. Just my opinion! My vote is for no borders or a plain dark blue border. Since you are a master quilter you could quilt a beautiful pattern in the border.
